Cut vs. trim: why do they cost the same?šŸ’‡šŸ¼ā€ā™€ļø

why does a haircut cost the same regardless of how much you cut off?

why donā€™t you have a trim price?

The answer is simpleā†“

When you get a haircut you are paying for a end result/look.

A stylist has to put their knowledge and skill behind each cut. We have to pay for the education that allows us to know how to achieve the cut you want. Although it might not take long, or it might seem easy, a ā€˜simpleā€™ one length cut still takes a lot of skill. As a stylist I have to have the knowledge to know how to give you that one length ā€œtrimā€ while keeping you ends how you like them. A simple shift in my finger angle, body position or shear position and your ends can go from being blunt to being those, ā€œI didnā€™t get my haircutā€ ends.

From another perspective we donā€™t charge more when we take off 8 inches vs 1. It doesnā€™t take much knowledge to take off length... it takes knowledge behind how to remove hair to achieve a particular end result& thatā€™s what you pay for!

Before entering the indr I didnā€™t understand ā€œthe whyā€ behind so many things. I love answering these questions and explaining the reasoning to you, so that you can better understand.

thanks for readingā„
